At the Stanley Hotel Bistro, we specialise in local seafood and steak, we are committed to sustainable and local sourcing of our products.

Tasmania’s temperate climate and four distinct seasons influences our menu and specials, and all ingredients are thoughtfully sourced enabling you to experience the best of Tasmania.

SERVICES

We stand by our commitment to only use the freshest of seafood, the Heathorn, Hardy, Hursey and Bishop families supply us daily with what comes in from the local fishing boats, including scallops, lobster in season and octopus.

The best potatoes and different seasonal varieties are famously grown in this area – the dedicated Robert Smith digs ours daily (rain or shine) from his farm on the Green Hills.

The wonderful red volcanic soil of the northwest grows all the vegetables and berries we serve – sourcing them directly from local Circular Head farmers is our first preference who deliver them regularly still warm from the sun.

Staying in Stanley for a few nights and decided to go here for dinner with my partner! He had a Parma and I had the Lobster! It was INCREDIBLE. The best I’ve ever had and it was so reasonably priced too! A great spot for dinner with a lovely view from the deck too!

After spending majority of the day at Cradle Mountain, we were certainly looking forward to a great dinner in a warm restaurant. Being walking distance from our accommodation we entered the bar area and were welcomed into the dining area. A warm, well presented restaurant with a variety of dishes to choose from. The food was amazing, complimented with a glass of wine! A stunning view too!
